The Kopua Farmlots subdivision was divided back in the 70's. The roads were not cut until Strother Timberlands Ltd., an international land company headquartered in Troy, Alabama, bought 2,180 acres from Hawaiian Anthuriums in the name of its subsidiary, Puna Forestry LLC. Before Kopua Farmlot parcels became available, Puna Forestry LLC formed a non-profit - Kopua Farmlots Association Incorporated. Each parcel owner automatically became part of the Association and pays dues to cover its expenses. This is where we are today.
